Bambu Beach Club – A Masterpiece of Sustainable Design and Tropical Luxury

Bambu Beach Club is a landmark commercial leisure facility located within the expansive Amatara Residences Rayong, a luxury resort and villa estate on the eastern coast of Thailand. Nestled on pristine white sand beaches and surrounded by lush tropical jungle, this exclusive beachfront venue sits between a scenic hillside villa development and the future site of a five-star resort.

Developed by Grande Asset Hotels and Property Public Company Limited and operated under the Amatara Wellness brand, Bambu Beach Club was envisioned as a sustainable architectural icon and a premier destination for both local and international visitors.

The striking bamboo architecture of the club was designed and constructed by IBUKU, the world-renowned bamboo architecture studio based in Bali, Indonesia. Their distinctive organic forms and bamboo engineering set the foundation for a design that merges seamlessly with nature.

Niratt Design was appointed to lead the interior design, tasked with elevating the aesthetic, optimizing free-form space planning, enhancing functionality, and crafting a warm yet refined atmosphere suitable for all-day experiences—from laid-back beachfront lounging to elegant fine dining under the stars.

True to the client's brief, Bambu Beach Club offers dual-daypart functionality, shifting from a casual and relaxed daytime retreat to a sophisticated fine dining venue in the evening. Thoughtfully placed dining chairs and tables follow the natural curved architectural lines, ensuring unobstructed panoramic views of the beach, sea, and jungle canopy while allowing ocean breezes to drift throughout the open space.

Guests enjoy a sensory experience wrapped in bamboo artistry above and surrounded by the serene tropical landscape—a true escape where they can unwind, savor curated menus, and create memorable moments.

Bambu Beach Club is designed with adaptability in mind. Whether hosting couples, families, groups of friends, or solo travelers, the modular dining setup allows for easy reconfiguration. Tables and chairs can be connected, detached, moved, or rearranged to suit guest needs—meeting the club’s operational goals while maintaining the integrity of the design.

Curved Counter Bar: A Central Design Feature

Curved Counter Bar: A Central Design Feature

One of the most distinctive elements of the interior is the long, flowing curved counter bar, designed by Niratt Design to serve two separate functions in one cohesive form. One end functions as a full-service cocktail and beverage bar, while the other accommodates coffee, juices, desserts, and healthy fare—a thoughtful solution that balances functionality with seamless design integration.

The front face of the bar is adorned with a custom bamboo pattern, echoing the structural theme by IBUKU and reinforcing the natural elegance of the space.

Niratt Design selected bespoke bamboo and sugar palm wood furniture from Amo Arte, a brand known for its craftsmanship and sustainable design ethos. Each dining and lounge chair is tailored to harmonize with the architectural shell, enhancing the club’s immersive bamboo ambiance.

Careful attention was paid to the ergonomic proportions and sizing of all furniture to accommodate a diverse international clientele, ensuring maximum comfort without compromising on visual harmony.
